About the Project
Welcome to our site, which provides details about the ambitious plan to re-develop the derelict sports field on Granborough Road between North Marston and Granborough. Our plan is to create top class facilities for cricket, football, fitness/trim trail and a nature trail together with changing and hospitality facilities.
The objectives of the working Party set up by NMPC are:-
To provide a Sport Field and recreation area accessible to all irrespective of ethnicity, gender, mobility, age or ability.
- To provide a football pitch for the established Junior Football Club and other users.
- To provide a cricket square for our Cricket Team(s).
- To provide a Nature Trail for the younger members of the community to develop and enjoy with the requirement for continued participation in its upkeep.
- To provide a fitness / trim trail aimed at all ages.
- To provide a facility for local events such as the Village Summer Ball, which raises money for the North Marston CE School and other children’s causes within the community.
- To provide a kitchen facility for refreshments to encourage villagers to support their local team and become involved in the community’s sporting events.
- To provide changing facilities so that our teams can participate in matches with other local teams and league competitions.

Creation of Cricket practice area including caging and nets
Nature Trail involving clearing of scrub, planting new trees and native species
Phase 2 (2008/2009)
